In the Hahnemann tradition · Edinburgh

Homeopathy that
listens to your story.

Novocura is a single-practitioner, boutique homeopathy practice in Edinburgh. A first consultation lasts ninety minutes — because careful case-work begins with an unhurried story.

In 1790, the German physician Samuel Hahnemann was translating a medical textbook when he read that cinchona bark helped against malaria — and, doubting the explanation given, tried the bark on himself. His healthy body developed malaria-like symptoms. From this experiment came the principle that has not changed in two centuries of the homeopathic tradition: like cures like. If a substance produces a certain picture in a healthy person, a specially prepared form of that substance is given to the person living that same picture.

For eighteen years my practice has rested on that very source: fidelity to Hahnemann's Organon, the simillimum of the moment, meticulous work between sessions. I make no concession to single-remedy dogmas or to spiritual vagueness — the language of the body, observation, the source. The focus is always the same: a lasting and gentle course.

Most of my clients come on someone's recommendation; the most difficult cases arrive referred by colleagues with a "let Hande hear this one too". I count that not as a boast, but as a responsibility. For eight years I have been teaching the same way of seeing: a tutor who listens to the student and chooses techniques case by case — what I pass on is not information, but a way of seeing.

Hom. Hande Özçıkrıkçı (DiHom, MARH)

When I stepped into this profession in 2008, at the age of twenty-six, homeopathy in Türkiye was a newly sprouting field. At that age, I couldn't fully know how much dedication, patience and precision the road would ask of me — and perhaps it's just as well. That winding and deeply transformative journey is today my greatest professional wealth.

Eighteen years on, homeopathy has become a place of genuine joy for me. Working with complex stories and long-unanswered questions, I still carry the curiosity of my first day; in a method that opens a new door every day into understanding people and their stories, my apprenticeship never ends. I believe my person-centred, detail-loving, meticulous and intuitive temperament has been my greatest companion along the way.

During my training journey, I observed in clinics in three different countries and had the chance to study with many remarkable teachers. While completing my first diploma training, I took part in founding the Turkish Homeopathy Association together with my colleagues. In 2018, I joined the Turkish branch of the Centre for Homeopathic Education as a tutor. Today, from my own clinic in Scotland, I work with clients in Edinburgh and around the world, and I offer supervision and advanced training to homeopathy students and practising homeopaths.

“The principles of homeopathy have barely changed in nearly three centuries — the world changed; the principles remained our compass.”

At the end of this whole journey, I arrived where it all began: Hahnemann and the Organon. It is one of the things I'm most proud of — the principles of homeopathy have barely changed in nearly three centuries. The world changed, diseases changed; yet the principles Hahnemann set down centuries ago remain the compass of my work today. An approach with roots this deep and this coherent is a rare thing in the world. I consider myself — and everyone who has found their way to it — very fortunate.

And to the thousands of clients who have placed their trust in me along the way: my heartfelt thanks.

Your story, heard layer by layer

01 — LISTENING

Ninety minutes, unhurried

Your story, told in your own words, uninterrupted — not a form, not a checklist. Careful case-work begins with an unhurried story.

2
02 — THE BODY

What the body tells

"I used to feel cold; now I run hot." "I loved spicy food; now it upsets me." The vital force speaks most clearly through the body — and the body doesn't lie.

3
03 — MIND & EMOTION

What the inner world tells

Temperament, worries, joys, the patterns that repeat — this layer is heard too: not through speculation, but through observation.

4
04 — ROOTS

What runs in the family

Tendencies carried across generations and your family's health patterns belong to the story too — in the homeopathic tradition, this is called the 'miasm'.

The layers of your story
Advanced training

Teaching, at the depth she practises

Hande's teaching is not beginner instruction. It is advanced, case-based training for homeopaths who are already qualified — the Eizayaga and Sankaran methods, meticulous case analysis, and the discipline of follow-through in long-standing, difficult cases. The things eighteen years of practice actually teach.

Cohorts are small and online, in English or Turkish. Practitioners who train here tend to send the cases they cannot resolve — which is exactly as it should be.

The first advanced masterclass is forming now — write to me to hear before it opens.
Advanced masterclasses

The long case, studied properly

Small-cohort intensives for qualified practitioners — beginning with analysis and follow-through in chronic, difficult cases. Case-based throughout; theory earns its place or stays out.

Case supervision

Live cases, sharper analysis

Monthly circles where practitioners bring their own difficult cases and leave with clearer structure, better questions, and a second trained mind on the work.

Mentorship

Building a serious practice

One-to-one guidance for homeopaths who intend to practise for decades — casework, judgment, and the unglamorous disciplines that make a practice last.
